Meeting About Gorhali Rugby 7s Tournament.

In the meeting held on this day in Kathmandu, under the chairmanship of Mr. Hare Ram (Rohit) Karki, President of the Gorkhali Rugby Club, the following topics were discussed and decided upon.

Decisions:
Decision 1 Regarding financial management for the competition, it was decided to organize the Gorkhali Rugby Men’s National Rugby Sevens Competition in collaboration with the Nepal Rugby Association on the 16th and 17th of Falgun 2081 at Krishnapur Stadium, Bharatpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 7. Mayor Renu Dahal of Bharatpur Municipality has expressed the willingness to provide the necessary funds for the event. Additionally, the National Sports Council will allocate the necessary funds for this competition. Based on the previous discussions, the club will move forward with organizing the competition. All office bearers of the club will work to raise the required funds for the competition. Proposals for the competition have been distributed, and while some funds are still pending, all office bearers will be responsible for securing the remaining financial resources.
Decision 2: It was decided to request the Bagmati Province Sports Development Council for the necessary financial support equivalent to the cash prizes for the competition. Furthermore, proposals will be submitted to other organizations, associations, companies, and businesses to seek additional support for the event, and relevant proposals will be published.
Decision 3:
To ensure the success of the competition, various work divisions were decided:
- Financial Management: All office bearers will submit proposals from their respective areas.
- Team Registration & Player Management: Letters have been sent to department teams such as the Army, Police, and APF, as well as to teams in all seven provinces. Vice President Mr. Krishna Thapa will manage team registration and communication. Coaches Krishna Thapa and Shree Ram Shrestha will handle team management and training.
- Press Conference: A press conference will be held in the first week of Falgun. All registration information will be collected by the 30th of Magh, and Mr. Bishnu Thapa, the press advisor, will manage the conference.
- Medical Management: Letters will be sent to Chitwan Medical College for medical support. Advisor Mr. Laxman Adhikari will manage this process.
- Hospitality Management: Advisor Mr. Rabindra Shrestha will manage food and accommodation arrangements for the teams and coordinate with hotels.
- Venue Management: Treasurer Mr. Shree Ram Shrestha will manage the venue arrangements. Permission has been granted from Krishnapur Stadium in Bharatpur, and all necessary steps for the competition ground management will be handled by him.
- Volunteer Management: Member Mr. Bikram Puri will manage the volunteers and provide necessary updates to the committee.
- Referee Management: Secretary Mr. Prem Bahadur Koirala will manage the referees and official staff. If international referees are required, he will inform the committee.
- Paperwork: All necessary documents have been prepared for submission to Chitwan’s CDIO office, police administration, and other relevant entities. Yadu Adhikari will be in charge of handling official documentation for Chitwan.
Decision 4: It was proposed to allow foreign players to participate in the competition. There will also be discussions about bringing a Coach of the Match official (C.M.O) for the event.
